How to get to Kalamata in the Peloponnese area

You can fly to Athens from Singapore direct, which takes approximately 11 hours. Only one airline flies directly to Athens, which is Scoot. However, if you want to fly all the way, you can fly straight into Kalamata airport via Zurich with Swiss Airlines or via Munich with Lufthansa.

Transport: The drive time from Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos.” to Kalamata is just under 3 hours. 

Hiring a car: is your best option if you plan to spend a few days here and want to do it at your own pace.

Private transfer: You can always hire a guide from Athens Airport to Kalamata 

Bus: You can also catch a bus from the Athens bus terminal, it takes approximately 2 hours.

1 Kalamata

Kalamata is a beautiful coastal city located in the southwestern part of Greece; it is a great place to base yourself if you prefer to have day trips within the area. There is much to do in this pretty Greek city. From the Kalamata Castle (and the breathtaking views from it) to the gorgeous beaches dotted along the seaside. This place is a one-stop destination for food enthusiasts (and the beloved olive lover) and history buffs and for those that just want to sit back and relax on holiday.
