Dusk restaurant view

With Valentines Day just around the corner, we did a little digging and decided to bring you a few ideas on some romantic places in Singapore to take that special someone this year. The list has a variety of activities that range from budget-friendly to pure luxury, in other words, something romantic for everyone.

Unexpected Romantic Places

Universal Studios Singapore

Universal studios on Sentosa island is probably not on your raider as a romantic place to be on Valentine’s Day, but hear me out a little. What is more romantic than having that special someone cosy up to you on a ride? Better still, jump on a roller coaster, and get that adrenalin pumping. So whether you wander around hand in hand and enjoy the slow pace of romantic rides or the fast a furious crazy rides, either way, it’s an unexpected romantic location to be on Valentine’s Day. Purchase tickets online to save time here.

Chopsuey

Many restaurants in Singapore offer excellent views with mind-blowing menus and extraordinary chefs. Still, for me, Chopsuey always feels special, and it doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day to feel the romance when you are dining here. Romantic Walks in Singapore

Singapore Botanic gardens

We all know Singapore Botanic garden because I am sure we have been there a million times, but walking around the national orchid garden any time of the day is a romantic option, especially during Valentine’s Day. Botanic gardens have so much to offer; with so many different parts of the park to explore, this is the perfect location for romantic couples to spend their special day.

Fort Canning Park

Fort Canning is where most people walk around during the day to exercise or spend the afternoon learning about the history of Singapore. So most people can’t imagine why it would be an ideal location for a bit of romance. Why? Because not only does it have some excellent locations for great romantic shots, but it also has an ambience when you take in the views. If you take the time to walk the park at a slow pace and dusk, you will know exactly what I am referring to. If you want to know more details, click here.

Nighttime Romantic Activities

Singapore river cruise

If you are not a tourist, you probably have not thought about hopping on a Singapore river cruise. However, this is an ideal nighttime romantic activity if you choose a timeslot that will see you glide down the Singapore river watching the sun go down while viewing some of Singapore’s most iconic tourist spots. So purchase a ticket here before you go.

Singapore Flyer

Have you hopped on the giant observation wheel? If you haven’t, then you should! The view from the top is impressive, and you can eat a romantic dinner on the Ferris wheel for that “top of the world” feeling. Your experience will include two complete rotations of the Ferris wheel and a four-course meal with a complimentary ticket to the time capsule after dinner. Does anything scream more romantic than that?

Romantic things to do

Watching an amazing sunset

Thompson Nature Walk has one of the best sunsets in Singapore at the lower Pierce Reservoir. So grab a bottle of champagne and a picnic and sit and watch the sun go down while you eat a romantic picnic with your loved one. It is a perfect place to see the day go by, and it is an excellent little idea to show someone how much you care.

Catch a cable car

Head up to 109 mount Faber and catch a cable car to Sentosa Island just before the sun sets; there is something special about riding a cable car at dusk. However, before you grab the cable car, enjoy Mount Faber Park, one of the oldest parks in Singapore, and the view from Faber Peak Singapore is breathtaking. If you want to eat dinner somewhere special, try Dusk Restaurant; click here for more details.
