1 JW Marriott Phuket Resort and Spa
The JW Marriott Mai Khao Phuket is approximately 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport. This resort has everything you need for your Phuket weekend away, which includes an airport shuttle, fitness centre and spa facilities.
It has not only two swimming pools but also its own private beach. Many activities are offered during the day, which you need to check when you arrive as each day is different; it could be anything from yoga to Muay Thai.
Guests of the JW Marriott Mai Khao Beach can relax on Mai Khao beach or spend the day getting a massage at the spa or attending one of the many activities.
Recommendation: Mai Khao Beach is important because the leatherback turtles can lay their eggs here. This is why a visit to the Turtle shelter is a must if you are visiting this area.Â
2 Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach
This beautiful Marriott hotel has 180 beautifully decorated rooms and suites to choose from, with pool, ocean, or garden views. The suites allow you to have your own private cabana facing the lagoon-style pool, which makes for a romantic afternoon sitting with cocktails in style.Â
This Phuket beach resort provides an airport shuttle service, a gymnasium and spa facilities. With a few great restaurants and bars to choose from when vacationing here, there will be no reason to leave this resort at all over the weekend.
Recommendation: Sit on the beach swing with your loved one and enjoy and take pristine waters and unforgettable surroundings.
3 The Slate Phuket
The Slate Hotel has 196 modern industrial Thai-style rooms, each tastefully decorated while leaning into Phuket’s tin history. The Slate hotel is situated right next to Nai Yang Beach. The hotel is popular with tourists because it is only a short 10 minutes drive from Phuket International Airport.Â
With three swimming pools to choose from (if you opt out of swimming in the Andaman Sea), two are adult-only! The Slate Hotel also has a gymnasium, airport shuttle service, spa and wellness centre. Everything you need to ensure a perfect romantic weekend away.
They also offer many experiences, such as cooking lessons, bespoke dinners on the beach, or flower arranging classes.
Recommendation: Although there are some lovely restaurants at the hotel and surrounding areas, you must try Black Ginger, where not only is getting there an experience, but this Michelin-star restaurant will leave you returning for more.
4 Banyon Tree Phuket
The Banyan Tree Phuket Hotel is a fantastic traditionally Thai-styled luxury resort, just 35 minutes drive from Phuket International Airport. The Banyan Tree chain is known for its luxury worldwide, and this Phuket hotel is no different.
With a large swimming pool, gymnasium, spa, wellness centre and airport shuttle service, it is the perfect little weekend getaway with your loved one.
The Hotel Villas provide a lap pool, complete privacy and luxury surroundings. It is also the perfect location for your honeymoon, babymoon, anniversary or a romantic weekend away with someone special.
Recommendation: Visit the spa for one of the most amazing massages you’ll ever get. I have had a fair few over the years, but the massage experience at the Banyan Tree Spa has always been one I’ve remembered.
5 The Surin Phuket
If you are after luxury hotels, this place will have you relaxed and pampered in no time. With 103 beautiful cottages and suites, The Surin rooms are beautifully designed. This hotel was the first luxury hotel
on Phuket when it was established back in 1982, so it has had some practice in getting it right.
This Phuket resort is approximately 50 minutes from Phuket International airport. It has all the necessary facilities for your romantic weekend away, including a fitness centre, airport shuttle bus, spa and wellness centre.Â
Recommendation: Take advantage of the complimentary water sports. These include windsurfing, paddle boarding and catamarans, to name a few.
